Since 2016 the SEXHUM research project (Sexual Humanitarianism: Migration, Sex Work and Trafficking – ERC CoG ) has been studying the relation between migration, sex work and trafficking in the sex industry by analysing migrants’ own understandings and experiences of agency and exploitation.

In September 2020 we are organizing three launch events, which will be a unique opportunity to find out about the project’s results and policy-making recommendations.

NEW ZEALAND FINDINGS LAUNCH EVENT

The first event will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday 22 September 2020 (NZ time!). We will present SEXHUM’s results and policy making suggestions in New Zealand, where the project focused on the impact of the Section 19 of the otherwise decriminalising Prostitution Reform Act 2003 (PRA), which makes it illegal for migrants on temporary visas to work in the sex industry.
